Indian Ladder, Thatcher State Park (2001–2007)

John Boyd Thacher State Park sits atop a long and prominent ridge that overlooks the Mohawk Valley. A path, which came to be known as the "Indian Ladder Trail," once traversed the ridge and connected the valley below to the highlands above. Yang photographed that portion of the trail beneath the cliffs, which today lies within the Park.

A complete series of "Indian Ladder" prints are in the collection of The New York Public Library.
